Tips for Living in Small Spaces with Pets
You may think it's impossible, or really difficult. However, there are small steps you can take to ensure you can actually live in a small space with your furry friend.
Choosing the correct breed:
Don't automatically assume that small dogs are the best for small areas. We'd recommend breeds which are friendly to strangers and don't bark too much.
- English Bulldogs: One of the calmest breeds around.
- French Bulldogs: Frenchies are the ideal apartment friend!
- Great Dane: The original "gentle giants".
- Greyhound: Easy to adopt a gentle lifestyle.
Being a good home owner and neighbour:
- Choose a ground floor home with access to the street.
- Crate-train your dog for added security and privacy.
- Puppy-proof your pad! Check for wires or things which are hazardous.
- Stock up on chew toys and make a comfy spot near a window for entertainment purposes
